early version of the server code was stolen from the original
developers and distributed to many people on the Internet. One
person, Tim a/k/a Stormin.BAD a/k/a LOKFreedom has put up a site and
is running a stolen copy of their game without permission.
Additionally, a second
group is running a stolen copy of the original developer's code and
is operating under the name Legends Reloaded.

Legends of Kesmai and Island of Kesmai are multiplayer online games that have a history spanning 25 years now, dating back to two guys by the name of John Taylor and Kelton Flinn creating a game called Dungeons of Kesmai while in graduate school in 1980. Island of Kesmai (an expansion of the original Dungeons of Kesmai game) went commercial in 1984 and its graphical descendant Legends of Kesmai took it's place in 1996. Although the games were retired commerically in 2000, the legacy still lives on within the hearts and the minds of their former players. |
